How Can severe Shingles Be Treated?

my husband broke out rally bad, we thought it was shingles, but then we found out we had herpes, and that might have been a bad case of it. The break out was from his thigh, up to his buttocks, and on his penis. Now, months later he penis is discolored, red, itchy and painful. He has been to the Dr. 3 times and there are no answers

Antiviral drugs like acyclovir have to be started. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
